初世一中所創造的「一中節」，為江戶時代元祿年間流傳的淨瑠璃流派之一。它受到古淨瑠璃的「角太夫節」流派之影響，成為後來豐後節．常磐津節．富本節．清元節等之流派。同時它亦是「強硬派」淨瑠璃相反之｢溫和派｣淨瑠璃之鼻祖。因此｢一中節｣在近世淨瑠璃中扮演重要角色。本論文根據明福寺之亡魂名冊．演員評論．文學記載等資料，探討他的為人與品德。 ICCHUU-BUSHI, which is one of the schools of joruri (a dramatic narrative chanted to a samisen accompaniment) started to be transmitted from EDO Era. It became the original school of BUNGO-BUSHI, TOKIWAZU-BUSHI, TOMIMOTO-BUSHI and KIYOMOTO-BUSHI after being influenced by KAKUDAYUU-BUSHI of ancient joruri. ICCHUU-BUSHI had an important position recently. The essay is about ICCHUU-BUSHI’s inaugurator—Miyako Tayu Icchuu (I), who left monks to invest lots of time in literature. I investigate the left description about Miyako Tayu Icchuu (I) from his birthplace—MYOFUKU-JI temple’s register, evaluation of performers at that time, literature and so on, and discuss his portrait.
